Hey everyone! Welcome back to the blog. I hope that you all had an amazing holiday this weekend & took time to be with your family, loved ones & friends. 💕🌷
So remember in the beginning of the year when we all set out our goals, put them in writing & started out super strong and ready to accomplish everything on that list?? Well, idk about you but throughout the year I start to sometimes "fall off" on working towards the goals I set for myself. This is totally normal, so don't feel bad about it if you have done this too! Even though we might stop working as hard as we could towards these goals doesn't mean that we can't reevaluate and start killing the game to get back on track. I thought that it would be about the perfect time to share some tips with you so that we can all get back on track and working on accomplishing these goals we set for ourselves! Because lets face it, we DESERVE to focus on us and to work towards these goals for us!! ✨
đź’›Let's get into my fave ways to get back on track...
- Weekly tasks to work towards your goals. I have been trying to write down different things that I can do each week to help me get closer to achieving my goals that I have set.
- Write them down or even rewrite them down. Just make sure that you know what you want to accomplish. It will make it easier to break them down achieve them when you know exactly what your goals are!
- Surround yourself with like minds & make sure they are encouraging! đź‘ This is sooo important. You need to have people in your life that support your decisions & goals and that push you to accomplish what you want for yourself. Having people that do not want good things to come to you or those who constantly drag you down will not help you get to the place in your life that you want to be.
- Accountability ~ find those who you can share these goals with as well as your struggles/wins. People that root for you! Also, work on making yourself accountable. Letting yourself down, at least in my case, is worse than letting others down sometimes! Do this for you and you will be so proud that you did!
- Break down your goals - there are so many worksheets out there that are meant to help you break down your goals! I have used the "Day Designer Goal Worksheet" before and I loved it! It makes it super simple to lay out your goals and then break them down as well. But either way breaking down your bigger goals into smaller more attainable steps will not only take some pressure off of you but also just help you get that goal accomplished in a more effective way.
- Revisit your WHY - I have mentioned this before in my “How To Stay Motivated” post. Knowing why and reminding yourself of why you started or why you set this goal for yourself can be so motivating. 🌟 Really understanding your goals and their importance is a huge step in continuously working towards goals.
- Learn to love your journey & your story. 💛 If you find yourself struggling to keep going or feel like you can’t accomplish something remind yourself that YOU CAN! Learning to love your story and realizing that it has brought you to where you are now is such a key thing in becoming successful and accomplishing whatever you set your mind to.
- Make the time in your schedule - schedule, schedule, schedule!! You know what your ideal day looks like, so take the time to sit down and plan your day. Give yourself time to work towards your goals during the week and time for yourself as well. ⏰
- Think of new ways to work towards your goals. If the steps you were doing before did not work, try a different route! Use some of the tips above and below to help you out! Just because you have stopped working towards something doesn't mean that it can't be picked up and restarted.
- Get out of your normal space to work on your goals. Sometimes all you need is a change of scenery to help pick you up and to get going again. Try a new workout class, try a new routine.. switching it up can do wonders and really motivate you!
- Join a group of people working towards the same goal/outcome as you. OK, this is something that I believe in so so so much. I just made the decision to begin a journey that I am beyond excited for. Just having this group of ladies working towards the same goals as I am is something that is and keeping me motivated and making me so excited for all that is to come in this program. We are cheering each other on and making sure that we are staying on this path and working hard for ourselves! Sharing our struggles, your accomplishments & everything in between. I highly suggest that if you can, or if you have ever contemplated doing something like this to go for it!! This kind of goes along with my accountability tip - having people there for you makes the world of difference.
So are we all ready to get back on track and work towards our goals again?!
Hoping that these tips help you pick up where you left off if you have found yourself falling behind on accomplishing the goals you have set for yourself. Leave any motivating tips that you might have for getting back on track with your goals or even write some goals that you are going to be working on in the comments!
Remember, like I said before, YOU CAN!
Until next time,
Michelle Elizabethđź’›
