Hi, loves!💕2019 is off to a great start and I have such an amazing feeling about this year!✨ Hoping that all of you are feeling as inspired as I am. Today I am here to follow along with the previous blog post, “2019 New Year Resolutions”; this post is focused on how you can put your goals into motion. (*If you have not already read all about my 2019 resolutions & goals go read it quick and catch up with writing all of your goals down as well!*)

Now, achieving everything on your list might not be possible, some things you might put precedence on over others, some you might just begin and not finish before the year comes to an end - the most important part in all of this is that YOU STARTED. Starting is the first step in pushing yourself to really become the YOU, you want to be.

Start Somewhere:

Whether starting means writing down your goals so that they are on paper, signing up for a fitness class, going to the store to buy healthy food, or spending a night in to yourself… whatever makes you feel like you are kicking off your goals/resolutions in the right way that is all that matters.

Planning It Out:

Probably my favorite step mainly because having a planner in my life has been essential for what seems like forever by now! I am someone who needs to plan out everything and make sure that everything is getting done (check out my “How to Plan for a Productive Month : My Top 5 Tips” post!). By first writing down my goals it really allows me to see them all laid out instead of all swirling around in my head. Now, in my planner - The Day Designer - it has a page dedicated to “My Goals”; this is a great addition to have in my everyday planner as it makes it so easy to just flip to another page and see them all laid out. Right next to the “My Goals” page is “My Plan - Turning Goals Into Intentions”, this is where you can write down the goals descriptions, monthly actions, weekly routines, daily habits and the progress. I can’t tell you how much i’m LOVING this section of my planner right now! Other ways to PLAN, would be to look at your goal, research it and then do it! You want to try yoga or a workout class? Look up classes near you, PLAN a good time to go & simply sign up! You want to go on a trip? Research all about where you want to go, then from there decide when to go and PLAN your trip! Want to begin eating healthier? PLAN out your meals, PLAN when you are going to go grocery shopping for all these healthy goodies! It is so simple and once you start really PLANNING it all out, you won’t be able to go back!

Motivation:

YOURSELF!, Family & Friends, Pinterest, Instagram

Keep reminding yourself why you are setting these goals in the first place! It is SO important to have trust in yourself, have confidence and to believe in yourself while trying to achieve new goals. Tell those that are close to you the goals you are setting for yourself and they will be such a great support system as well. “Surround yourself with people who get it.” I love this quote and shared it on my #MottoSunday Instagram post a couple of weeks ago. It is something I found on Pinterest - which with that being said is SUCH an easy way to motivate yourself. I am always looking on Pinterest for inspirational quotes, for healthy recipes, even for help getting ideas with things such as workouts & new ideas to add to my routines. There is such a great community on Pinterest & Instagram of others trying to do the same thing as you are, reaching out & inspiring others is about the best motivation there is.

Looking Ahead & Looking Back:

This is important. Looking ahead is what I always seem to be doing, daydreaming and trying to plan the perfect future for myself 24/7. It is so inspiring to me to think about the future, thinking of my relationship in the future, thinking of things that I am working towards and the reward once I get there… that is what inspires me the most. However, sometimes I forget to reflect. Now, looking back isn’t intended to mean look back on bad things, or bad times.. But back upon the great times and times where you succeeded and made yourself proud. Looking back is a way of motivation as well, knowing that what you have gotten through has gotten you so far and to this point in your life!

Hoping that these simple but effective steps get you rollin' on accomplishing all of your goals & resolutions. Wishing you all the best in 2019 ✨, I know that this will be the best year yet for all of us! Take your goals this year and show them who’s boss & spread nothing but positivity. Know when to step back and reflect and know when to go your hardest to become the best you possible.

Much love in the New Year. đź’–

Until next time,

Michelle Elizabeth
